An archive of Mortlach

A close up of the 50 year old Mortlach bottle

The Mortlach 50 Year Old was created using the last spirit to emerge from the distillery’s original direct-fire stills. Woven from a single refill American Oak hogshead cask initially distilled in 1971, the spirit was concealed within Mortlach’s original warehouse for half a decade. Here, it aged undisturbed, undergoing a slow journey towards refinement. This vintage whisky is a precious piece of Mortlach’s history, reflecting the distillery’s audacious and inspiring nature.
