This Talisker is a whisky of profound richness, defined by an exceptionally long finish, and is the only expression drawn from an experimental batch, finished for over 20 years in Amoroso-seasoned American oak hogsheads.
Tasting Notes
Appearance
Deep amber with orange lights; polished rosewood. Good beading and legs.
Refill American & European oak, long finished in Amoroso-seasoned American oak hogsheads.
Nose
Mellow in feel, familiar top notes of sea salt and a hint of dry sweet-peat.
Body
Medium to full.
Palate
Mouth-filling texture. Sweet and rich to start yet true to its roots; saltier mid-palate, with developing smokiness and peppery spiciness.
Finish
Long and spicy, with peppery kick and sweet spice lingering in the aftertaste.
