Prima & Ultima

Third Release

A Moment In Time

This image showcases a close-up of a Royal Lochnagar 1981 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottle, elegantly placed in between a bed of rocks. The dark background and soft shadows cast around the bottle create a moody, sophisticated aesthetic, highlighting the bottle's intricate design and label details.

Prima & Ultima, a series of unique whiskies, the first or last of their kind, returns this year for a third installment, adding to the growing narrative of Scotland’s rich liquid history.

A portrait of Dr. Craig Wilson, dressed in a suit, holding a whisky glass filled with amber liquid. He is seated at a table with a whisky tasting, including a taster glass and a bottle. The background features a display of whisky bottles.

The Curator

Well-Known in the Scotch Whisky industry for his attention to detail and passion for unearthing remarkble whiskies, Diageo Master Blender Dr Craig Wilson has applied his experience to restoring the Brora spirit and creating new releases from Port Ellen.

A bottle of The Singleton of Glen Ord 1987 Prima & Ultima single malt scotch whisky elegantly sits on a bed of textured stones with other whisky bottles blurred in the background.

Firsts and Lasts

Each whisky from the collection holds a story of a first and a last of its kind, from the oldest release from the Port Ellen Distillery to the first ever vintage release of 1987 from The Singleton.
