The rich flavours and aromas of a PX/Oloroso-seasoned cask are deeply integrated with the creamy texture and spicy, toasted characters brought by the new American Oak. The Prima & Ultima 2nd Release has been personally hand-selected by Master of Malts Maureen Robinson; “This lovely Linkwood comes from a special small batch matured for twelve years in refill casks, then set aside to double mature for more than a quarter of a century in four casks of new Pedro Ximenez/Oloroso seasoned American Oak. As you might imagine, we have very little of it. With its long, sweet-spicy and warming finish leaving a lingering hint of chocolate, this is truly a unique whisky".
